On Tuesday, May 12th we will celebrate a man of faith, courage and strength - Charlie Johnson.
The 1st Annual Charlie Johnson Heritage Foundation Dinner will be held at Trace Creek Baptist Church. The night begins at 6:00 PM with dinner after which we will celebrate Charlie's life and present him with the Charlie Award. This award will be given every year at the dinner to someone in our community (not necessarily a YMCA Member) who has exemplified the YMCA 4-core values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility.
In addition, we will also celebrate the YMCA, our programs and share with you our vision for the community.
Tickets are free but the YMCA is accepting donations which will be used to establish the Heritage Foundation. The Foundation's funds will be used for our YMCA's scholarship and programs. f you know Charlie and wish to contribute a story that can be shared, please leave a comment below.
